hey i am wanting to put a BA head on a ed block as they are the same apart from the front well as fare as i can see that is.

has any one done this before or knows of some one who has done it ???
there was a guy on hear not too long ago doing the same thing dose any one no if he has done it. ??

and also any info one it would be a help

doubt it will bolt on
the timing case is different then u will need all the BA accesrories
also u will need aftermarket ecu to run the dual vct and coil on plug ign

yeh, the 2 camshafts have a chain going to each other so the timing gear is a bit different, probably be easier using a VCT AU head.

yeah i no that the cams will be a issue but i have a way around that just wanting to no if it has been done before.

and also how much power have the old i6's seen dose any one know ???

i no that the ba's have hit the 1000bhp what about the I6 ????

yeh, but those cars with 1000bhp are turboed. I'm sure with the right internals, and lots of boost, the e-series i6 would be able to crack 1000 hp just as easily.

yeah i know i have the turbos just wandering if it is posabel to get that much power out of the i6

doubt it - without dual cams and vct i dont think you could - unoless you used a Huge turbo or twin

i spose anything possible with a wad of cash!

I dont reckon teh ba head will fit on

Long story short, you cant put a DOHC head on a SOHC block.

Short version of the long story, you need to spend significantly more modifying the SOHC block to take the DOHC head than it would cost to put the whole DOHC engine in.

yea ok well i no i guy that has a ba engine for $300
