hey guys
does anyone have any pics of the ba dohc block where the aircon compressor mounts?
or has anyone tried to mount an ef or even au aircon compressor to the ba block?

im hoping the aircon mounting is the same as au but im not sure. and i dont have an engine to try it on yet...

im thinking about fitting the dohc to my ed..i know the engine mounts mount the the same way they do in all e series..
but the conversions ive seen have used the ba compressor and accesories.
so im just looking at compatability of the accesories at the moment.

i can see a raptor charged dohc ed on the cards...

I think Dansedgli tried the au compressor on the BA engine he was selling and found that it was a perfect fit.

Nah its not.

It bolts up perfect but the compressor sits too far back. You need to space it forward about an inch or the belt wont be straight.

I didnt try swapping the AU compressor bracket to the BA engine though. At a glance it wouldnt help but it might.

Here you go troyman, got some photos up of the A/C, hope it helps. Excellent idea with the BA conversion idea hope you go threw with it. I think an EF A/C should mount up pretty ezy but I wouldnt know for sure. Ebay is the answer for BA donks, I see them on there all time with a reasonable price tag on them. Best of luck and keep us posted with what your doing.

Regards Jared.
