Now, Now, people. let us not be so synical on this matter.

After all who are we to question the wisdom of youth.

We who have been here for so long, doing so much, with so little, who are we to dare question.

I await with baited breath for the wisdom and knowlege that will be passed down to me.

would it be possible that he has just left the bolts out and fitted the early tin sump? its definitely weakened the motor (a lot of blacktop Zetec conversions have issues when the alloy sump/girdle is replaced with a tin sump) but would simplify the process a bit - does the BA bottom end have a girdle like the AU?

Probably how it was done. The e series sump fits au. Needs plenty of gasket sealer used to hold oil though. Unsure if anything else is done to make them fit

considering there has been no reply im going to say its all s**t..
to many small differences make putting e series sump on a ba engine a pointless excersize ...

in other words, pics or it didnt happen....

Troy, of course it is s**t. Why would installers go to the frouble of doing K Frame modifications if it was easier to fit a E series sump.

Pics or BAN.

How did you get around the oil pump?
Considering you can't cut the sump on the Barra they way you could on the AU motors.
