here's some mods that i've done to my EF XR6 to fit a BA engine, now if someone could tell me how to wire the thing i'll be rolling, i have the computer & loom, just need to wire one of the plugs that goes from the PCM into the passenger compartment, which is stuff like ecu & fuel supply relays, oxygen sensor power steering, elect. throttle etc etc, i've got a manual for the EF & it has all the info on ecu terminals colour coded & numbered & also a manual for the BA but it only gives colour coding & descriptions but not numbered! bit annoying as i'm not exactly an automotive elecrician, will post the answers if i can work it out

Looks good mate, so you're planning on running the stock BA PCM?

Holy crap!! That much needs to be cut out of the sump and crossmemeber to fit? s**t, i'm going to have to recalculate things then.

Jason161, any chance you could throw up a couple of photos of the engine clearance with the engine in the car? I'm very interested to see what kind of room is there.

Or engine in the K frame would help.

yeah i'm not sure what to do with the bonnet, probably end up getting a secound hand one & cut a square hole like the JETXR one, then i can think of some ideas to make a better design with the actual bonnet.
the BA sump is pretty much the same as the AU apart from the oil pick up location, that hump under the crank shaft seal is where the oil pick up pipe runs for the BA block, on the EF & AU series the pick up is to the side, so you have to make the cut just under the hump. i am planning to use the stock PCM as it's already got the harness wired up to the sensors, injectors, ignition etc. unless there's a better alternative i'm not aware of? i've attached a few pictures of the actual clearences with the engine bolted in place, as you can see you don't need to cut as far in on the sump as i have, i just wanted to be absolutely certain that it would go in. now looking at the pictures you really don't need to cut as much out of the crossmember either, at least this gives a reference point for the install for future projects

No, I'm of the belief that the stock PCM is the best way to go, if you can get it working it'd be brilliant.

This one is mine for an AU motor. I got away with only a cm clearance between the sump and Kframe without cutting the sump.

from those pictures with a cut sump it looks as if you could also squeeze it in without a modified k-frame?
