Hi All
I'm just about to install an engine oil pressure gauge and a trans oil temp gauge. What is the optimal engine oil pressure range for a BA 185 barra and the optimal trans oil temp range for a BA XR6 4 speed auto? Thanks

My XR6T oil sits on 60psi idle and up to 80-ish underload, and 85 once fully warmed up. Highest oil temp I've seen is 105 after a really good flog but a gentle cruise after that had it back to 85 fairly soon.

Thanks for replying fnp.
Very useful info. I was going to buy a Transmission oil temp gauge, but a standard oil temp gauge is almost half the price. They have a slightly different temperature range, but your figures would easily fall within the range of both gauges.
