So, In the next few months I am looking to Sell up my FGXR50, and buy a BA Fairmont Ghia.
I am disappointed by the fact that you can't by these beauties in Manual.
So please.
If anyone can fill me in with ANY OR ALL information about where/how/what to do a manual conversion or who to go in or around the Cairns NQ area.
It would be very much appreciated.
:)

so you're looking at seelling an FG for a BA ? Maybe a shrink is the first port of call ? BA's are the new gen EA's, I would say actually worse because they are worth more to fix & they suck more 4rse.

BA's have the more boxcar approach. Maybe you'd be more happy with a nice ED with a Barra190 ? Guarantee it will flog an fg or ba.

BA's are the reason I can't sell my BF, they make baby jesus cry. And there is quite a bit of difference, just not aesthetically. (still have better brake lights, more power, better interiors & better fuel economy)

However every car has it's bugbears.

Theres a couple of T-56 converted cars around, only the one Ghia though. For the costs its really not worth spending the money to convert, its damn expensive to do it CORRECTLY... your gunna spend 12k is on a Ghia for a decent one then $3500 on the conversion/clutch/custom tailshaft and still only have a stock car with a six speed... if you really want a Manual, buy an XR or something and if you have your heart set on a Manual Ghia $14,500 and you can take mine... its got every thing, its low, got 19s, extractors, DVD conversion the whole lot!!!

Yours does look damn nice Nudge. I saw it at the AFF meet on the 2nd of September. I was there in SLOXR8 with Josh. I know what is involved in the conversion, as do you. OP will not get the conversion done including buying a BA for the price of your BA.

Yep spot on I would love to have a manual in the wagon but for the cost to do it it just ain't worth it. Buying one already done is the cheapest way.

Does someone wanna sponsor my wagon for a T56 conversion.
