Ok guys iv got a tough problem to nut out i cant seem to do it and are about to give up on ever fixing it but here goes. I have a ba xr6 N/A with the usual things CAI, exhaust extractors. has 140000 kms and is regularly serviced, New coil packs, spark plugs and fuel filter. to my problem...
The car for starters doesnt have the same torque acceleration my mates exact same car does i dont know if that has anything to do with it but, the car can run through first gear and into second no worries when you back off still in second to go around a corner or round-a-bout and jump back on the gas you can hear a different not in the exhaust as if it is missing on one cylinder and the torque just is non existent. Slow the car down and get on the gas again and it has fixed it has been doing this for some time and no event has triggered it just came about one day has anyone had a similar problem? know of anything that could possible help me or anything i could check if so please comment :) any help will be greatly appreciated

ALSO please forgive poor grammar and sentence preparation Thanks.

Would have to agree with papa smurf 100% as my ba Does the same and needs the cat and sensor, even with the s**t punched out of the cat if the sensor is bad might not change much except noise. Only goin from personal experience i blew a chuck of my cat out at full throttle doin 120 in 2nd on lpg and all i did was end up with a louder exhaust that sounds s**t and it gives of the occasional wiff of rotten eggs at full throttle it made a decent bang when it blew out though sounded just like my ed dud when it backfired

Have ordered a ntk 02 sensor if problem persists buying a venom 4.25" body 100 cpsi cat will keep posted on results cheers for your help. And shouldn't the 02 sensor throw a code?

Not always, I have seen the sensor with a wire cut and still showed no code. I do hope it fixes your problems. :)
