would be a rubber seal around the boot lip...
or IF car has a spoiler it be coming from under ther mounting. also maybe the rear window?

highly doubt water would be getting in from the drain hole in the boot itself.

since it is a BA back to ford under warrenty

you could find the watere leek to be comming from the wiring harness from boot lid to body
just under the rear screen on the drivers side .
you will also note the floor behind the drivers seat will be wet aswell
qwik fix is to get some superglue and run that around the rubber on that wiring harness !
ill take a foto of that for ya tomorow at work ! im sure we still got a few cop cars :P

Sorry for the mine, but knew I couldn't be the only one with this issue.. thank you Google.

Car had a wet smell after the mega rain in ACT last weekend, and when vacuuming the car, noticed the serious wetness behind the drivers seat on the floor. Gonna call John McGrath, my BA is under warranty still.

Mine is an AU, not under warranty, brought probably 3rd hand. How was this problem fixed?

Still a mystery, I took it in, and they "reseated the rubber seals". hasn't leaked since, but haven't really had the car in enough rain since either.

Maybe I should get new seals and take the ones off from down the bottom and let the water drain

Also throw squares of paper towel down, and press on them with your feet to get some water absorbing action. I hear brissy's pretty wet atm.

hey i have a 03 ba xr6 and i have the same problem, when i left my boot up water comes out of the holes were the covering clips into, in my opinion its the spoiler. well for my car, as i took my spoiler of to check what it would look like and the seals (what would stop the spoiler itself hitting paint on paint and to stop water) was pretty worn, so maybe try replace them and see. i notice it when it really rains and rains. it happens when i wash my car or it rains for 5 minutes is fine but long periods of rain abit of water starts to drip out. hope that helps

yep, through spoiler mounting or rubber seal where the loom comes into the boot lid near driver's side hinge.

Mine is an AU Series II with no spoiler , dont want one either.

Mine tends to find its way inside the bootlid and comes out from the passengers side when fully open. I'll be srutenising it very soon as the bootlid sustained damage in the past when iI purchased it.
