just bought myself a ba xr6 mark 1 only afew days ago and allready getting sick of the performance! Doing what anyone elso would do; browse the web for performance enhancements; cams, heads, throttle bodies, valve trains, etc... ONLY TO RESULT in a fail search....it seems no-one supplys/modifies these items.

All i can find is cold air intakes and f@rt exhaust systems WTF!?!?!

I would be happy as a greek holding a souvlaki if i can get my xr6 into the mid 14 second zone...does anyone here have a machine such as this??? :P

AND PLEASE dont tell me to put on a fully sick turbo bro as im only a probational driver and insurance will fuk me up...

go to www.jimmockmotorsport.com

He does n/a dev kits for BA's which includes extractors/exhaust/cam etc depending on how much performance you want.

Mine will do the times you're after, all you need is an exhaust, extractors, cold air intake and a capa edit. If you still want more, you can stick in a lower diff ratio and get some new cams and that'll see you keeping with if not getting away from the xr6 turbo boys.

The JMM dev 3 kit as well as a CAPA edit should pump that XR down close to the 14's id av thought. The JMM DEV 3 put a 5spd BA into a 14.8, so with an auto it could be close thanks to the edit and tune.

DEV-BA Scavenger" Headers (Extractors), Hi-Performance 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust system, Hi-Flow 2.5" Catalytic converter with header pipe, DEV performance spark plugs, Hi-Volume intake Air-Flow conversion kit, CAPA edit. with a JMM 3000 stall convertor.

maybe a nice CAM too , but other areas are going to cost money as it is, the insuracne with the DEV kit mite be a hoot!

unless its a shhh shhh. job.

food for thought.

BA's are cheap as s**t now, I know an 18yr old that has a BA Fairmont Ghia. All you need is a fulltime job and living at home and the banks will just give you the money.

I think there will be a lot of young guys with BA's my mate got an XR6 Turbo for 24k.

Also check out Nizpro. They are doing plenty of stuff for the NA aswell. What's your budget, coz for a little over 3 grand (extractors, exhaust, edit and CAI) ur car will be running mid 14s easy. Its not that hard for the ba to get those times, they respond really well to mods. Hell, i know of at least 3 stock auto BA 6s that have run 15.1.

http://www.nizpro.com.au/cobra_na_main.html

For those interested Nizpro recently did a stage 3 kit (extractors, exhaust, edit, CAI and cams) and pulled 217rwkw. With their intake plenum aswell it should pull a solid 230 -235 rwkw. I also know that they are currently working on some wilder camshaft profiles. Wont be long before we see 250rwkw

THANKS XRCIST, abit hefty prices though, i reckon it would be cheaper if you install it urself and look around for parts yourself, but by the looks of it, the barras sure do have alotta potential...

rhysy_boi, i have NOT been pulled over ONCE.........................yet
