Hey guys, Once again i come to you for some help. Has anyone come across a BA series the will not start ? It turns over but does not show any sign of fire. while cranking it over if i give it half throttle it sounds like it wants to go i.e.: little minimal fire. any ideas ? i was thinking airflow but how do you test it ? Any help would be great. As usual thanks in advance.

reset switch is to cut fuel supply to the engine, supposed to be used in the event of a fire, or automatically engages in a fire, its in the owners manual anyway i cant remember, the reset allows the fuel to flow back to the engine, i suppose this could be helpful if flooded

BA's dont have "coil packs", which by definition is a group of coils together. They have 6 (or 8) seperate coils directly on top of each plug.
the reset switch is triggered in a sudden stop (inertia switch) and it cuts power to the fuel pump. You will have an extra warning lamp on the dash when this happens. |

well.. I turned it over with my foot flat to the floor and after about 8 seconds she started i kept the revs at around 2500k for 20-30 seconds and took my foot off and it stalled. Also blew a masive amount of blue / Grey smoke. did the same thing a few limes but incressed the revs to around 5k for 10 seconds and now she is fine, no smoke and starts every time. All i can think is something was stuck in the fuel line or something like that, When i removed the Air intake from the throttle body i opened the butterfly and did notice a bit of oil on the reverse side of the butterfly, is that normal ?

How often do you have to change the plugs in the BA ?
