i dunno if you'll be able to do it... jetxr tried to do this with an XR6T engine and it f**k him over something chronic, think it's defected to the point of no return atm cos he had to alter the K frame and such. Either way it not really worth it. You're better off with some headwork and a reground cam and exhaust/extractors in your EF and call it a day.

with the $$$$ youd spend on this conversion, you could sell your EF, buy a BA XT and turbocharge that.

I want the power to weight ratio not a heavy BA.
I can get a BA motor for $1500 so if I can fit without having to change to many things it may be benificial. BA base model will set me back 7g+ after trade. My EF XR already beats them so why go backwards. The extra power from the BA motor will be good. |

fitment isnt straight forward.
ignition systems are completely different fuel maps would be completely different.

waste of time it won't fit and would be too hard to get going. bonnet height sump and electronics make this a total wate of time. A BA engine will only show 140rwkw which you could get with a decently modded EF anyway.

How many times does this question need to be asked?
Why doesnt someone just post a sticky saying "want to put a ba engine in your car?" Then when the open it up it says well this is why u cant.

havent ne of yas even looked under the bonnet of a ba it wil fit with no worries itll bolt strait in with ure existing engine mounts bolted to the block the onli thing i havent checked yet is whether or not the sump will fit and as for the electronics itd all be easy as can be any auto elecy should be able to hook it up ull have to use the ba ecu or an aftermarket one as ure old ecu will not be able to run the newer motor the onli problems u mite have could be the accelarator as this is electronically driven instead of the older cars "cable" but if u can figure a way around that then ure set and as for the height of a ba engine its onli a few mills higher than the ef'el motors the lump in the bonnet on the bas is just an optional extra so mate if ure gonna go ahead with conversion my advice go for it im doing this conversion in about 2 months time as i also see the sense for the power to weight ratio also id rather my eb xr6 than a ba falcon i just want the motor hehehe so yer

Its been done before - and it didnt fit under the bonnet The sump wont fit The BA engine management would be more difficult (and possibly more expensive) than fitting an aftemarket ECU to run it.

why the heel do these tools show how ignorant they are through both their arrogance, mis-information and overall completly f**k up grammar, for crying out loud you have a key board not a damn mobile phone. learn to type and talk properly, do a little reading and see the FACTS as to why a BA 6 will NOT fit under an e series bonnet without SERIOUS mods

What is the big problem with just moving the BA loom and ECU to a different car?
