Right oh, This is a bit different. BA wagon Locking issues on our new wagon.
I've read the manual, read the various threads on this site, none of which relate as far as I know. Remote works, locks all doors, pin goes down. 2 flashes of the indicators, and a beep. 20mins later alarm goes off. Without fail - everytime. Lock it with a key - no issues. Unlock, and boot release no issues. What would be your fullas direction. |

Battery drain can set off some aftermarket alarms, like leaving an interior light on.
Ask me how I know cheers Bill. |

i'm guessing its the factory alarm - probs needs a new backup battery - iirc that sets them off...
by locking it using the key the alarm is disabled

Does sound like a voltage drop issue.
Does it go off after the same lenght of time each time? |

im a guessing battery in the remote, it cant be the car battery because for it to drop that low to play up, it would be lower then the power required to start the car

There could be a short in the door wiring or the door lock mechanisim. My au ute is currently doing a similar thing because it is missing a wire (fitted power windows different harness).
It must be asensor wire to say that the door is closed to the BEM. |

Cheers for the help guys,
I've found a "Meridian" car alarm sticker - so will let these guys at. I'm guessing the factory remote isn't arming the alarm properly. |

if its an aftermarket alarm, its more than likely due to the power saver mode of the BCM, a problem that first occurred in the AU's with aftermarket alarms
