there is a techinal document on here that someone has made showing how to fit it and use the sports shift side of it. or do you just want the knob to fit?

how are ya m8 yeah, iam just wanting to use the knob iam over the t\bar 1, and i will put some pics of the engine bay up the next day or so iam cleaning up the engine bay a little at the moment not that it needed to much done

i think someone here has done it. or if your game just get one off Brooke at the Kangaroo Flat Ford wreckers and have a go!

It is not a screw on fitment.

I believe you have to drill out the centre mechanism and modify it all to fit EF/EL internals in the knob.

The problem is that EF/EL knobs push the actuating lever down when the button is pushed, but AU onwards lift the lever up.

thanks benj i will keep looking around iam sure that theirs a car out there somewhere that might fit, some1 said late model holdens commies might go on but iam not to keen on holden parts in my ford lol

You might find using a 6 speed shifter knob easier - that works the opposite of the 4 speed one
