Hi guys,
i was doing some research, and it seems that the BA 6 is identical to the BA turbo engine except for the turbo obviously and the compression ratio. Therefore wouldnt the BA turbo engine without the turbo (8.7-1 ratio) have more power than the standard BA engine (9.7-1 ratio)???? whats everyone think |

Therefore wouldnt the BA turbo engine without the turbo (8.7-1 ratio) have more power than the standard BA engine (9.7-1 ratio)???? whats everyone think the only difference in the engines are the pistons/ compression ratio.. and no.. the turbo engine with no turbo would be rather slugish compared to its non turbo brother.. the higher the comp ratio n/a generally the more power can be made.. but this is generally the opposite in turbo engines. lower compression can handle higher amounts of boost without suffering the risks of detonation.. |

I don't think the conrods are different.
From memory ... the F6 and EGAS shared the stronger conrods. XR6T just used standard N/A rods. Later in BF though ... the XR6T literally had an F6 block and internals anyway.

I think you need to get someone else to do the mechanical work on your car.
