Hey guys hows it going, i'm new to the forum.
Basically i have a 2005 ba mkII xr6 ute, that is using an average of 16.8 litres per 100, i've done an oil change, oil filter, fuel filter and nothing has changed. The car has genie extractors, and herrod 2.5" high flow cat and cat back all in stainless, and growler big mouth CAI, i don't thrash it but it gets the occasional squirt. If anyone has some suggestions on what i can do to get the fuel consumption down it would be great. Cheers Phil. |

Pull your intake off, clean the throttle body (may find a coating of carbon), check your air filter.
CAT ok? Run a tank of BP Ultimate. |

Had a mate with the same problem, he took it to the ford mechanics and they said they just had to "re-learn" the ECU with the new extractors that were put on. Not sure if they were pulling his leg or not but whatever they did fixed his problem
