Iv got a ba xr6 manual ute, and has only just developed a problem with selecting 1st gear. Basically it wont go into 1st anywhere over 10km/h or it grinds
So im guessing it needs a new box or a full rebuild seeing that it's 1st? Anything to do with these boxes looks like it's gonnabe expensive:( is that right will I need a new box or??
It's also needs a new clutch /also very expensive. Is it worth the expenses of a hd clutch?
Basically what im wondering is could my clutch issue fix my box issue???

its pretty normal for a manual not to go into first while moving at any speed higher than a slow roll..

if you have been forcing it into first while moving you may have worn the syncro out, thats why its now crunching..
