Hi all

Anyone heard of a surging problem at idle with xr6 turbos ?
Idle speed can jump up to just over 1000rpm , if you're not carefull when stopped car can lurch ahead dangerously to the next guy in front of you.

Car has already had "firmware/software" upgrade , made no difference.
This is one is a BA Mk1

Dealer has no idea what to do next.

well some is telling the ecu to idle faster so just a elemination of what it is, start at basic check faults if none, then look at vacume leaks, fule pressure, exhaust blockage. ect or even a faulty ecu.
