i hav just purchased this lovely vehicle and are afta sum figures for her.
ie power, torque, 1/4 and sum more info if u kno any. cheers ppl

torque - 380nm@3250rpm
kerb weight - 1690kg

acceleration times for a sedan
0-100: 7 - 8 sec
400m: low to mid 15's.

sedan is 20kg lighter than ute @ 1672kg

fuel economy ave 11.5l/100km

these figures are taken from motor mag. note acceleration times are done 2up with 1/2 or full tank.

eb v8: low loud and fast. just how a v8 should be. i guess the big question is, is it fast enough...

Sounds pretty accurate to me. The six cylinder engines in these are very responsive to modification too, you can go a very long way with your first $5000. Expect low to mid 14 quarters with that sort of money.

Congrats on the purchase, they are awesome cars. Manual or auto? Quickest time a magazine has posted for an xr sedan is a 15.5 auto, however some people have run 15.1 to 15.2 with these cars at the track. As Fnp said, these cars don't need alot of work to get them hammering hard. A decent exhaust system, extractors, edit and intake will see you making around 180rwkw or about 220 to 230kw at the flywheel.

yerr cheers its the tiptronic auto. is there any mechanic faults i should b aware of with these cars? should i keep an eye out for anything?

with modifying it. im a big fan of the dual exhaust system on utes. wot would i b payin 4 if i was to purchase 1 of these from extractors back?

thanx for the info 2. just a bit surprised the ute weighed more than the sedan. so there u go i learnt sumfin 2day.
