Much better off with a BF wiring loom.

it came with the engine loom would it not be a little more easier to get it working with a Au2/3 vct ecu and loom as its going into my au2 xr6 ute

alot of people have talked about doing this conversion and done it but No one has ever said why they cant get the cams to work i have looked at loads of threads i cant find a a au to ba engine swap from start to finish thread

AU VCT is either on or off, BA's are variable. Not sure that AU VCT connection would be a solution. Probably better off either going the whole hog and installing a BA ecu or getting a vernier and fixing the cam timing.

If you lock the cam timing, it will eithier idle fine and not rev, or rev fine but not idle.

in ba/bf 6cyl the whole vct thing is more for fuel economy and emissions more than anything..
thats why most guys chasing power and dont care about fuel economy and emissions fit the vernea gears to lock the cams..
