Hello Everyone :)
Because of my love for the BA falcon :) And my thirst for more performance Im planning on Building up an engine. I'm Sadly still on my P Plates and will be on my opens july next year so i have some time up my sleeve to get this done (And saving because I'm only on a small wage)
I have bought an Engine Stand and am getting a Good Condition Barra motor from some localish wreckers on Friday hopefully! (They tell me they all have less than 150,000, however i don't see that this matters as im fully stripping her down?)
Only $220! (bare motor) Can't go wrong :D lol
Once the engine is done i will be getting a BA car I was thinking EX taxi? Unless there is a reason i shouldn't?

So Plan is for this to be turbo.
What can i do to this engine to get it tough and ready for a Turbo?
I have looked at Atomic Performance Parts and Nizpro
Havent worked out prices with Atomic yet but Nizpro Looks WAY out of my budget :) lol

So please guys any advice would be great :)
Thanks guys!

I hope there may be some other alternatives out there :)
Thanks for letting me know :)
I will be happy with 500HP so i may not need to go to all the extremes That Nizpro and Atomic have :)
Cheers mate

in turbo form you can get 500hp at the engine from a stock bottom end,
500hp at the wheels is going to need a decent bottom end eg rods and pistons ect...

n/a, be willing to spend 20g to get that sort of power....

I'm looking into it :)
Its a project for me to do over 1-2 years so we will see how i go i suppose :)
500HP at the engine might be what i will have to go for. However im Looking online and still think i might upgrade pistons and conrods :)
Still allot of research to do :)
Thanks for letting me know!

I think it will be worth it :D
And over a couple years that much money doesn't seem like too much, I think i can get away with it and the Missus won't get mad :D haha

I just need to decide what parts im going to go for. Decide what i can make myself and what i will need to buy. And go from there :)

Is there much difference between the N/A and the Turbo? From what i understood only Pistons and cam?
I might be wrong here :)
Cheers,

Cheers,

If your building an engine doesnt matter what block you start with, at the end of the day its getting pistons rods rings aftermarket cams springs ect for the boosted application,
