hi,

the battery terminal were accidentally connected the wrong way around. It was connected for a max of 5 secs. Now the car doesn't start and the head lights and indicator lights stay on, only turning off with the key out of ignition.

All blown fuses inside the cabin have been replaced.

But problem still hasn't been solved. How can i fix it

My first thought is the ECU is blown. A co worker did this in his commadore and that was the same result.

A 2c diode may not carry enough current but? Youd think they'd have some protection! BUt money does have to be made in spare parts departments i suppose :D

Tell us if anything else comes on in the car like stereo, what dash lights come on, is there any sound from the engine, is the fuel pump "whirling"?... It might help us a bit more and you in some small way.

if you drive a ea spac like in your sig then u should be able to pick up a new ecu for around the $50 marks.I think i might even have a 3 speed mpi ecu lying around still that will work fine.
