hi guys

im about to put the battery in the boot in my EL ghia ,just wondering do i have to run 2 lengths on 4 gauge cable or do i just run the postive and then earth all the eaths up front ??and then just earth the battery on the boot somewhere ??

Personally I'd be earthing direct from battery to the engine and then one in the boot. So two main cables returning to engine bay.

I ran 2 cables aswell as earthing the battery in the boot.

I have mine does as....earted in engine bay....2x power wires from engine bay to single xgauge in 4 guage out distribution block.....4 guage thru firewall etc down to boot then onto a solenoid...the power from main batt is linked to this and batt is earted to chasis. (in your case 4guage striaght down to batt....and batt earthed to chasis as short a distance as possible and to bare metal - clean earth...also 4 guage (keep earths same cable guage or larger never smaller)
