The only really way is to do a el dash conversion and wiring loom, and engine loom conversion, rather then running wires to this and that and changing a whole bunch of things
Need to be changed accelerator pedal accelerator cable couple heater hoses thermostat el ecu and the list keeps going

Not to mention the BBM and associated parts, hoses and wiring connectors. I may have missed something, but I can confirm you do not need to do a dash conversion in order to do a BBM conversion. Its a simple task, I am led to believe. Cheers |

I have just about finished it on my ED.
It isnt that hard. Buy a shagged EL motor with all accessories and bobs your uncle, really. I got mine for 100 and it had everything i needed. Brett

Maybe documented to some extent in my old build thread.
All you need is the BBM and the crap that's connected to it including a few inches of the fuel line preferably, the fuel reg, sensors wiring loom, air box etc and the little vacuum solenoid up the back right of the engine bay on the donor car. Then just get an EL ecu and buy a smartlock bypass off Ebay for like a $100. You can then run thermo fans off it too, which kick a***. Feel free to PM me about anything you run into, I have the pin outs for the EL ecu aswell. If your currently running a seperate trans controller you can get rid of that and run it off the EL ecu, much better. If this all sounds like crap to you, ship it to NZ and I'll do it for cheap Do some searches and you'll find all the info you need

ok so i have an ef motor which i'm putting in my eb, i'm changing all accesories over to run serpentine belt, i'm fitting a 16" thermo fan instead of ef twins as i already had this one laying around, i am also wanting to fit an au bbm and just wanting to know if a smart lock bypass and el ecu are all i'll need?

2 ways to do this.
1) swap all accessories from the EF to the EB, will give serpentine conversion as well as BBM 2) put the EF motor in with the dizzy from your EB, as the EF is coil pack and an EL ecu wont run it. The EF should already be serpentine and BBM, so the choice is yours. If you swap the stuff onto your EB, then you will need an EF water pump(neW), and a radiator and hoses, as the EB ones are diferent and and wont suit the EB rad. Good luck Brett

AU BBM will not work due to the T-MAP
