Hey guys,
I know this has been covered a fair bit and I think I have all the information I need, but I just want to clarify. I am going to do the BBM conversion for my EB from an EL at the wreckers and I have a list of parts that I need to get, just wondering if I am missing anything. This is the list that I have: -Manifold (Including Throttle Body) -Manifold Wiring Loom -Air Box -Intake Piping Between Box and Throttle Body -Thermostat Top Housing -Accelerator Cable and Pedal -Upper Radiator Hose -Heater Pipe (Metal) on the Manifold Side -Vacuum Switch -Dipstick -Fuel Hoses (Just from the manifold to the fuel lines) -EL Rocker -Vacuum hoses (Probably end up cutting my current ones) -EL ECU I was also just wondering if there was anyone in the Basin/Boronia/Ferntree Gully (or near there) area that would be able to help me out with installing all the new gear as I'm not really mechanically minded (I have an idea of what I'm doing but I'll probably miss something). The other things I want to grab off this EL are the thermo's - what else besides the actual fan itself do I need? (This is assuming that I will have the EL ECU - which I think works fine in an EB doesn't it? Does someone want to expand on this?) I'm going down to the wreckers tomorrow to grab this stuff as they're selling it so cheap I don't want someone else to grab it Cheers, Michael |

Money is kind of limiting at the moment too so I doubt that I will be able to get all of these things tomrorow (Especially the EL ECU) so what are the things that I should definatly get first as everything is really cheap (The BBM is only going to cost me like $40). So I'm definatly getting the BBM and the Thermo Fans - what else should I get while it's cheap?
Quick replies will be appreciated as I'm going down tomorrow morning. Cheers |

hi
i did mine yesterday.. you have pretty much got it all when you get the thermostat housing make sure you get the water pipe from the housing for the heater hose and you will have to get the pipe that runs from the water pump that runs around and behind the engine..because the eb one will hit the manifold.. also dont forget the intake snorkle.. also you dont need the throttle pedal you only need the cable |

I did mine last weekend. I found that its easier with the EL thermo relays as well. Also see if you can get the wiring from the EL ecu cause you will need 3 wires from it to run the bbm manifold and thermos.

I've been thinking about it and I'm thinking that I might put off the BBM for a while due to funds and time - but I do have the EL Thermo's and I'm looking at getting the Davies Craig thermo switch. All I need is the kit yeah? In super cheap they have the 0404 Kit for $70 - is this the one I need? I assume so because it controls the thermos for the A/C too.
Good price? Do I need anything else? Not too hard to install? |

with the thermo switch all you need is 2 relays 2 fuses and wire of a***.
ive got it set up with 2 fuses and 2 relays in case 1 fan dies or shorts out the other will keep going. i also have a 3rd relay to switch the fans on when the aircon is turned on.. |

The Davies Craig Thermo Switch, Part No. 0404 seems to have all of this... http://www.daviescraig.com.au/main/ther ... p?prodid=2 Did you get that kit, or the 0401 kit, which would explain why you needed to buy extra stuff? |
