Can anybody give me some reliable advice on whether or not its worth changin my stock ECU in my EF for an XR6 one. Like is it really worth it or is the change going to be barely noticeable. Someone with personal experience would very much appreciated

Thanks, may only be one reply but it all helps. Do you have a specific reason for saying its not worth it.

not worth it. the only thing that seperates the XR's from the normal falcons is fuel pressure regulators, cams etc. the ECU is the same. spend ya money elsewhere if ya after power. you could "trick" the computer to gain more power though...

They are not really a performance tune, they are just tuned a little different for the XR6 engine (different fuel pressure and slightly better breathing top end).

Dyno's were posted not that long ago with back to back runs of standard ecu and xr6 ecu and for some reason the standard ecu had a couple of rwkw more than the xr

the ef xr6 engines also have larger exhaust valves so they breathe better :)

Hmm, thanks for the advice. I think you guys just saved me a couple of hundred dollars. Might spend it on a cam instead.
