4480 best bang for your buck, good power eveywhere in the rev range. 4499 as far as ive seen hav same as the 4480 up high but downt have the down low torque.
jmm extractors do the job very well also ill say their up the top with the 4480.
jimmi sells the race series long headers for 490, and pacemaker extractors go for about 450-600, so if i wer you ild go for the cheaper option

Mate, my ED had more bottom end torque than another members EF, i would pull 3-4 car lengths off the line and end up 1 car length ahead, i dunno what your on about cause i had 4499's and the other member has 4480's

Gearbox? diff? wheels? other engine mods? kms? depends on driver as well.

i know someone that went from crappy press bent no name headers to 4480s and could not feel a difference. for the 1 kw and 2nm of torque difference, the choice is yours...

any extractor is going to be an improvement, just look out for a set of mandrel bent extractors and you cant go wrong. performance wise you wont feel the difference...

as the other bloke said, too many variables to consider. diff ratio, wheels, suspension, and weight. 4480 have more bottom end torque and same up top as the 4499, trust me

Both running 3.45LSD, Superlows, and 17's, i had 235/45 Nankang NSII and the other member has 255/40R17 Nankang NSII, pretty even match dont ya think, especially given we were both running T5's, so i dunno where ur coming from

where are you coming from? different model cars, different kilometers and lives of the cars. He has a greater rotating mass on the wheels also, plus DRIVERS...If you had the EXACT same car, with a mechanical driver who did the EXACT same thing in both, you would have to be on crack to think two cars with only the exhaust done (no cams etc) would be 4 car lengths difference from having 4480's and 4499 either way

67RCE trust me 4480 are for the extra low down torque no questions asked.
as skidder mentiond way too many variables to consider. and the fact that their manual makes it even to compare.
plus the a diffrence of 4 car lengths is HUGE, wayy to much to be a result of extractors

There aren't that many variables, the EF in question has since run a 14.6, unopened, these cars, only had a difference off the line where my ED would pull a lead, 100km/h rolling start and the EF would just pull my ED by about 1/4 car length to 160, there is negligible difference between the 4480's and the 4499's

Ha Ha, I love the confident reply Tickford_6.

67RCE, you probably think you are comparing apples with apples, you are, but you are comparing red delicious with granny smiths mate.. different models, different weights, hell even different motors.

on an otherwise stock car, exactly right. 4480's would outperform 4499's on the same car though, purely due to the fact they are a tuned length extractor, which therefore have greater lower end due to scavenging.
