Hey people, ive recentley bought a grandpa spec ea falcon with the 3 speed auto and 3.9 motor.

I originally bought it as a cheap run around while my other cars motor is being rebuilt.....

So now im looking at building a sleeper and as my limited research has told me, the 3.9 ea motor isnt going to do much for me.

So is the au or ef the pick to use?
Will i need the gearbox too?
Does it fit?
Can the loom be used in the ea?
Etc etc??

Hi, some idea of what you want to do with it & what box would help. plus what were you refering to by "Can the loom be used in the ea?"

Looking for maximum power, with auto box that will fit..

Thinking cams and chips also.
Would like to get 300hp but im guessing that would be turbo or supercharge territory

Is the EA cpfi or mpfi if centre point,you'll need to get a mpfi loom,4-speed btr will fit no problem, if you can find a eb,ed cheap you'd have have everything there to do the swap including the ecu.

yeah, thanks... i think ill keep my eyes out for a donor car if i cant find the parts
