Currently ive been using iridium xr6t (ba) plugs, they seem to be the go for now and give the same result if not better then autolites and cost me less then a normal iridium.

saying that, apparently the bosch super4s are equally as good ive been told.

but with a good plug you should always have a good set of queensland ignition spiral core leads, or eagle f1 spiral core leads as well.

NGK Iridiums, Bos Super4's, and a few others are all up there. There's lots of debate about which is the best. Do a search on the particular ones your looking at and you'll find a thread on em.

I've got Champion leads at the moment, the Steel ones, which are the model above the normal ones, recomended for heavy duty applications, 4WDs, taxis, fleet cars, LPG, and what not. Never again will I buy Champion leads, I've already had two leads replaced under warrenty.

Whats been the problem with the Champion leads as I'am still on the factory leads from 1999 & their still working OK.

For every day use but I wonder as when it was dynoe'd with the 1st 122.4 rwk & second 123 rwk readings the A/F was blocked but there was big dips in the readouts one at 160kms.

The problem with standard leads are that they degrade over time,
I recently changed leads in my AU1 1998, they were 125K old.
I tested them with a meter and they read 6.7K ohms and the new topgun 8.8mm read 1.2K ohms, lower the resistance-better for the spark.

The leads fixed my idle and the car feels so much "smoother".

Boot fell off the one, peice that clips onto the spark plug fell out another.
It might have just been a dodgy batch, but next time I'll be trying the 10mm Topguns as I can get them cheap aswell through work.
