anything can be done with the right amount of time and money but i don't think it is very possible to have it registered and roadworthy in australia sorry mate

Yes it can, but you will need to make adequate suspension/brake mods to suit before an approved person will sign off on it.
I'm pretty sure you will have to actually ring the approved person you intend on using and ask them exactly what's needed. If you aren't aware of approved engineers (term I hate because they aren't actually engineers) call Queensland Transport and they will tell you your closest ones.

I think you will find that as long as all the pollution gear from the engine and the ford ECU are used, it will be easy to get legal as the Corty came out with the 250

assuming QLD is a similar deal to Victoria, you will need to keep all original pollution gear, and upgrade brakes, suspension, and possibly the tail shaft and diff also
