That impedance is fine, it won't burn out the stock injector drivers.
When people talk about "low impedance" injectors, they mean <10ohm.

If I'm reading those figures correctly, the Magna injectors flow 186 g/min at 3.3 bar, and the AU's do 150g/min at 2.7bar

so in theory, at the lower pressures on the EL fuel rail, they probably flow very similiar.. Its only at higher pressures that the magna injectors would flow higher yes?

A guy on that page said heaps of people at a ford vrs holden day had the magna injectors in and swore by them.

I've just terrified of leanign out to much while I'm still in test and adjust mode.. the difference between the Injects and the magna ones is probably pretty small in general usage, but it might be just enough so that when I get it dyno tuned (which will initially be to ensure it's not pinging etc) the AFR will be within reason.

Who tuned it though?
ECU/chip is only as good as it's tuner...
You could have a Motec, but if the bloke tuning it is a retard it will still run like s**t.

Its a capa, setup to run s/c on 10psi, although i had running on a turbo motor, still at 10psi though so it shouldn't of made a differance. Still sucked.

Elimator switch chip or the chiptorque chip they bundled with their charger kits?
There is a big difference between a centrifugal charger and a turbocharger.
You got a generic tune that didn't even suit your car remotely, and it's the tuning device that is crap...
Interesting theory.

I am aware of the differance between a centi/charger and a turbo (i do own both) but 10psi is 10 psi.
The compessor map for my holset turbo is almost identical to the map of the powerdyne. Apart from rpm of course.
The map sensor will still read that presure, the ecu will still be picking up a/f/r from the oxy sensor, all the other sensors will still function as before blah blah blah, So whats the diff?
Also if you read what i stated before correctly im bagging the eliminator chip not the chip torque chip.
Im yet to come across someone who has said the eliminator chip is a great cost effective alternitive to a aftermarket ecu. As far as ive read most guys are either running an aftermarket ecu (either piggie back or not) or running on the stock ecu with fuel supply mods. Most guys that are running the chip torque are N/A.

I'm asking which chip, CAPA bundled chiptorque chips with their charger kits for a long time, I didn't even know they'd moved to bundling Eliminator Switch chips with them.

10psi at 3000rpm is not 10psi at 5500rpm.
And you are assuming the ECU knows what 10psi is.

frankieh doesn't want to go aftermarket ECU anyway due to hassles with emissions testing.
You're bagging a tuning tool because it had a s**t tune.

As i said before "eliminator chip".

As i said, compressor maps are similar. I get 10psi at 2800rpm.

I am aware he does not want to go with an a/m ecu but when he said an eliminator chip i was suggesting he should look for altenitives. The money would be better else where.

Capa chips leave the factory tuned, so it wouldn't be that far off the mark would it? So explain to me why my car would run better on a stock xr6 ecu than with a eliminator chip? wouldn't the eliminator chip have a closer tune to what the car would need being bossted compaired to a stock ecu?

This is all very confusing.... :-)

I really didn't want to mess with the ECU at all rather than just tricking it as best possible to get good curves.. but if I go over what.... 5psi? I'll probably have to.

Nah, everyone has different opions but im running 10psi on a xr6 ecu, walbro 255L & a 12:1 reg. I do have a haltek to go on but this is more for performance, for the moment the afr is all good with the stock ecu.

I would sell the chip but it would go with another xr6 ecu i have so hence would not be cheap. Capa price them at $795.

It's a generic tune for a completely different setup, it's crazy to assume it will work fine!

Your AF's may be fine as it is, but i guarantee that there is too much timing in there using a stock ECU, how it hasn't rattled itself to death is a mere miracle. You can trick the ECU to a point, but it really isnt worth it. Rising regs and the like are merely band aid solutions to cover up poor tuning. Get it tuned, and by a good tuner. You will pickup economy, power and drivability.
