Hi guys,

Just wated some advice on Cams. I found a Crow Cam on ebay that will apparently fit a NA BF XR6. For starters is it worth doing? Also how is idle and fuel consumption once this is fitted?

If i did buy the package what would it roughly cost to fit as i have no idea

hey mate, i've got crow cams in my BA xr6, not many people have cams in them cos its so much easier to just get a turbo if you want power.
They said you get more gains on a BA rather then BF, i assume BF have better cams already.
As for fuel cosumption lol how does 18.5l per 100km sound? idles fairly tame and makes more power in the mid/top end.
if you can live with the fuel bill its worth it, but only after you've done all the other normal mods.

my understanding is that Cams dont have half the effect they used to because of the variable valve timing BA's and BF's already have - effectively giving the benefits of a small cam at idle/cruise and of a big cam under high rev situations.
