Gday all

I'm about to buy an 05 BF XR6 and i'm just wondering if there's much that can be done to increase performance. I had originally been looking at the turbo but the insurance premiums are just too stupid so at the moment its naturally aspirated for me. What can be done to get the best power out of the 6 for about $3000?

in this order: extractors and full exhaust $1100, typhoon airbox with second intake $120 or ss inductions cold air intake $400. k&n air filter $70, 20% underdrive pulley setup $250, flash tuner with custom tune $1000-$1200
should see some good power with this a 14 second pass

Cheers for that.

The exhaust is a given but is the flash tuner worth it? I keep hearing contradictory reports about whether the things work or if they're just a waste of money. Can anyone recommend a good place in Newcastle or the central coast that tunes fords?

Try Tm Autosports at tuggerah. They've got the capa programs.

Could save yourself quite a bit of dough and pick up a second hand typhoon/xr6t exhaust, and have very similar results.

Yeah, grab the manifold and turbo while you're at it ;)

Does the falcon 6 handle the underdrive alright? It doesn't get too hot?
