for the people who have had big end bearing failures do you remember what number bearing/conrod it was.
I am trying to work out if number 1 or any other particular big end bearing has a habit of spinning bearings and might benefit from oil flow mods.

I think someone who loves to torture these engines might have some idea.

my old motor did a big end (well i think so)
but i wasnt able to determine which one.
maybe when i get around to stripping it down i'll know.
deffinately be handy to see if one is more common then others.

Well usually it's the one furthest from the oil pump (Not always the case of course).

With piston and cylinder failure, it's usually the one closest to the water pump as it runs the coldest (But again, not always the case).

i bought a second hand block and it was number six piston that let go and got smashed against the block and took a big chunk out of the bore so i am taking it back and getting another block
