Would a bigger throttle body equal more horsepower what are people's opinions on this and would u find bigger ones?

Bigger throttle body = less restriction on air flow. Will only work up to a point and assuming that the rest of your intake allows for the extra flow (eg snorkel, filter, piping, manifold, etc). But yes, more horses... Just prob not as much as you would like. I would suggest working on other bottle necks first... Then come to tb. Unless your getting it dirt cheap... Then go for gold.
Oh and from what I've read, it tends to be that people notice a sharper throttle response as the biggest change... Not amazing power gains.

+1 on the rest of the intake system. You will gain more by reducing the restriction in the rest of your induction path: an EL GT or SS Inductions snorkel, bell-mouthed 3" PVC pipe for the airbox exit, BA or 3" mandrel-bent induction tube, and decent performance panel filter.
On a moderately modified SOHC six, the stock throttle body is good for at least 5000 rpm. I have seen back-to-back dyno graphs on an E-series six with a stock throttle body and a larger one. The two graphs are basically identical to 5000 rpm. While the stock kws starts to flatten off, the larger throttle body keeps going well past 5500 rpm. The dyno shows a noticeably higher peak power, but no increase in peak torque. So, if you are going to spending a lot of time above 5000 rpm, the upgrade would be worth it. It would probably gain you a couple tenths in the quarter mile. But it's overkill on a daily driver. The larger bore would tend to reduce throttle response. If you are running a fully-ported head, big valves, a wild cam, 3-inch exhaust and an increased rev limit, you would notice an improvement.

I'm still using a log manifold and the original untouched TB, and I don't rev it past 5,000rpm anyway.....the ol' ED does alright for what it is.
