Hi guys
Just wonder how to bleed the air out of the system when changing a water pump on a 1988 ea falcon, I installed a new radiator on my Holden work car and on the thermostat housing it has a bleeder nipple for the air in the cooling system, I was told if I change the pump and fill with coolant it will bleed air out by itself into the overflow, Not sure if that was true or not,so I've held off doing it until I talk to someone who has done it before, Cheers, |

You have been advised correctly.
Fill the system with coolant, leave the header tank cap off, start the engine, open the heater to full and bring the car up to temp, any air will bleed out by itself. Top the system as needed while the air is bleeding out. |
