A few days ago, I had a situation where the electrical switch on the master was leaking, and wouldnt bleed properly. Check for leaks.
Order which you bleed them, drivers front first, front pass, drivers rear, pass rear... I think... I found the only way to do it on my own, is get some clean plastic hose (about 50cm) that fits snugly on the bleed nipple. Get a clean small glass jar with some new brake fluid in it, and put the other end of the hose in it. It works like the reverse of how a bong works, you can blow air down the cone but if you sucked the cone you'd get a mouthfull of bongwater. Hope this has helped, or at least been funny... |

You didn't need to crack the brake lines to do rotors and pads.
Useualy start with the wheel furthest from the master cylinder then work closer. |

yeah i started from the furtherst brake.... now u explained it in bong terms i understand lol
so when u put the hose and that in the fluid u crack and just press the pedal in slowely and release or just keep pumping slowely???

Just keep pumping the brake until clean brake fluid flows out then push the brake all the way in. Hold it and get someone to lock the bleeder do that on all brakes starting from the furtherest and work your way to the closest to the brake booster.

basically go
left hand rear right hand rear left hand front right hand front. its possible there could be a small crack in the brake line letting air in.

You can get bleeders with one way valves on the end but have never used them.

Its easy to replace right? Just take the old bleeder screw thing totally out and replace?

No they do not replace the bleed nipple they are a rubber tube with a one way valve on the end.
You can buy speed bleeders that replace the nipples but I would ask someone who has used them if they are any good. |
