Looking for the best way to clean all the s**t out of the sump without going through to many filter changes all ideas welcome

If it is water sludge then put cheap oil in and drive it 200k then put your good oil in. The left over water should have vaporised by then.

ah so im assuming it was a cracker head tehn and there is water in the oil.
yeah i would just drain and replace oil and filter twice, prob good idea to put cheapo oil in as it will save you $$$. depends how much waters in it as well |

if she is really sludgey be carefull mate, cos it can block the pickup in the sump and run your motor dry, why not lift up the motor a bit with a engine crane drop the sump off and give it a good clean, then you know the job is done properly, i have heard of people using desiel to flush motors but i recon that it would swell the rubbers and seals, desiel is filthly sticky s**t anyways not something i would put in my engines.

Kero does the job and is also a good lifter cleaner!

Thanks just finished pulling the bottom end off and cleaned it with petrol and let it dry out then blew everything out so by lunch time i should know if it worked or not

change oil a few times, i mean for the cost of oil compared to an engine!
