As for davids reply. it runs a stock 3.9 ECU. I have the XR ECU but no one can tell me how to by-pass smartlock without paying $275. It blows the same amount of smoke hot or cold. It only ever blows smoke after idling for extended periods or engine breaking. both would create high manifold vaccum. I have another MAP sensor i could try to see if it improves the fuel economy. I think only the exhaut guides were replaced. along with new valves and seats. hopefully its just the PCV or the seals. who built the engine??? take it back and ask them to fix it. |

You say only exhaust valve guides were replaced.... Why??? The problem is got to be excesive manifold vacuum which is pulling oil down through the inlet guides past the seals. Why cut corners for a totally rebuilt engine dude??.
Another thing could be oil rings either back to front or wrong in tolerance match with piston and or bore. New valves with head work will of course increases compression under acceleration but equally increases combustion chamber vacuum. Its called positive atmosphere displacement. You cant f**k with the laws of physics.. Have you done a compression test on each pot??? |
