f**k

s**t won't even turn belts over anymore. just makes a loud click, thats it. not battery, tried the one from the 'goon. lights dim when trying to start though.

self test - comes up with 777 & 778 - my fans aren't working  which i know, as they're not connected. has no faults stored in its memory either.

so, back to square -1!

hey all

had an issue with the car - went to start it up, and got a lovely blue spark on/near the intake manifold/fuel rail, where the leads were coming through from the coil - coil/leads/plugs are all brand spankers - and now the car will turn over, put a few pops through the exhaust, but won't start - guessing leads and/or a fuse somewhere?

cheers!

When you went to start the car, you had the bonnet up ..right ? Had you just finished working on it..fitting the new leads or w/e ?

I'd be checking leads are in the correct firing order . Also check the leads from the starter motor for shorting out.

Double check all leads to/from battery and starter motor. Flash could have been from the accelorator cable acting as an earth. Run a jumper lead from the chassis to the negative battery terminal. Check all fuses and circuit breakers.
