hey all

had an issue with the car - went to start it up, and got a lovely blue spark on/near the intake manifold/fuel rail, where the leads were coming through from the coil - coil/leads/plugs are all brand spankers - and now the car will turn over, put a few pops through the exhaust, but won't start - guessing leads and/or a fuse somewhere?

cheers!

sounds like you got a crack in one of the leads, and its earthing out thru your intake manifold or fuel rail. just go down to repco and get a new set of leads. should fix it up easily

yeah would cause the misfire, because the spark isnt making it to the plugs.

Have you pulled the leads off and checked them?
it's all great that they're new, but it won't be the first time somethings been f**k in the manufacturing process. If you can find damage, take back under warrenty.

will do so after work, when i get home. my main concern, is there other damage/issues i should be looking for? as it now won't fire up, is it just the leads, or something else?

anyways, it isn't the leads. have swapped over, same result - no start. checked all fuses, nothing is blown.
