Yep. So there is a Vacuum hose from the boost control solenoid to the wastegate. This controls boost, and if the computer isnt able to control boost it reduces the exhaust output so that boost isnt developed. Thats what your getting.

Can be caused by a few things I hear. Normal things are the solenoid itself, the Vacuum line, but often its the Wastegate Vacuum motor that fails.

Once you resolve that you'll be right to go again

Okay no problem

What's the best and first thing to do to try and resolve this issue?
Mechanic said it may also be my actuator but yeah

Well, you need to figure out which part is failed. Not much we can do to help you.

You can check the actuator fairly quickly - remove the vacuum hose to it, and put one of your own on it. Draw vacuum and see if it holds, and moves. If its failed its likely you could just suck air through the hose.

Once you know. The solenoid is replacable, as is the hose, as is just the actuator for the wastegate

Cheers

Replacing the waste gate actuator will involve removing the turbo to do it.
Got mine done beginning of the year. :x
