increasing the voltage to the fans would cause them to spin fasted but how much would a standard 12v rated one take?

what...for?
Have you a power steering cooler, auto trans cooler, inter cooler and air horn in front of your radiator?

Ford thermos go fast enough, if yours aren't then they are probably f**k, or wired wrong.

You can get voltage boosters for fuel pumps. This can increase the voltage from 12v to 22v.
http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com/pe ... l?item=694 Im pretty sure you can get a general booster that increases voltage to a flat 16v. If you need a faster fan speed you probably have some issues with your cooling system though. My cars don't over heat.

Haha gold! Seems like this guy takes the same approach to cars as overclocking computers.... increase voltage, increase cooling, performance +1, repeat until dead.

The fans work fine stock, they are one of the best things Ford ever did, why do you want faster?

It does sound like a recipe for disaster. Either burnt out motors, or quickly worn or seized bearings, or disintegrated fans from the centrifugal forces, etc. Could do collateral damage.
