im going to have to get a block rebored and i wonderd maby id get it out to 4.5, any idea's prblems im likley to run in to???

Crank Assembly balanced, HV oil pump, ACL Trimetal bearings, "1 extra oil clearance taking to around 0.0650-0.0700 on mains and big ends, Moly rings,, Xr6 Cam, POD ( Possibly oversize injectors), Block, Head, Timing cover, belt idler, Alternator,painted in ford light blue

you cant just bore it out to 4.5.. you need to have a different combination of rods and crank to stroke it aswell to get it to 4.5 ltr

how big can you go with off the shelf items with an el block?

i think 60 thou, is about as much as you would want to go without sleeving the block..
correct me if im wrong..

and from memory boring a 4.0l 60 thou takes it approx from 244 ci to 249 ci which i think is 4080 cc..
i did have a formula to work it out but i cant find it...
