Can anyone tell me how you go about changing the total mechanical advance in a Standard Ford 250 crossflow Bosch electronic distributor. Vaccume advance is locked just want to know whats involved to alter mechanical side of it

If your talking about like "E" series EFI dizzy then the EFI computer takes control of the advance anyway I believe ie. if you alter the mechanical advance the electronics might reverse compensate for it.
