I'd still be going for NGKs.
Just cause scotty said that you can't get much better. That and I got them through him for a beer each. Pitty i can't do that no more.

are the NKG's you are running a 4 tip thing too ? Pitty i did not get to meet Scotty, he sounded like a real down to earth person and good value. At least we have a name in common.

Don't think the NGK's make a 4 tipped plug. I went NGK Iridiums myself, main reason was that they were the most expensive (get what you pay for - but personally I don't believe that price displays products quality). Also I didn't see why if the 4 tipped plugs were so great, no other brands were producing them...

A search may bring up previous threads about them. The idea is a good one and they are used in aircraft, enough said. If I had my time again, I'd get them over the NGK Iridums, they are just a rip off IMO. Also, NGK Sponsor HSV.. Bosch sponsor SBR. Your choice.

It's interesting to see that people make comment on something that they havent try. I've got Bosh Super 4 SP in my car. Before I used NKGs, and i can see the difference. Engine is running more smoothly, has a bit more power output and better fuel economy. I asked a guy from RACV what is his oppinion on Bosh Super 4 and he said that he's got them himself in his car. I think they know what's good if they fix hunderds of cars a day. They are dearer than the standard spark plugs (think something around 60$ for set), but they are worth it. Ive done more than 40 000 ks with them and they are stil firing like new. Bosh recommand to change them every 30 000 ks. If you are buing it yourself just make sure you get the right ones, cause nearly every model uses different type.

I am using the Standard Bosch EL XR6 plugs and I have found them to make my idle heaps smoother as compared to NGK's where my idle was all over the place like a mad Womans Breakfast!

The bosch 4 tip plugs are okay for standard or near standard engines and run real good but the 4 tip really does nothing cos if a spark is created it will allways path to one electrode only in that one event

Congrats 1 SLY 97 EL you have done well, Many others have evaded the challenge.
This Ford is one of the best Factory modded Cars to ever come out if you have read about the specs. Once again I congratulate you on taking up the challenge..
