unfortunately its no where near as easy with an EA-ED box... they are actually smaller size then the EF/EL and also the angle the box is on you cant fit a stock size pod filter in there. however if you cut the box up you can angle it with a 90 degree bend to cover most of the pod.

the way i done it i simply cut the bottom of the box up, but left the ring around the top and the side panel for suport so i can keep the factory intake ontop of the air from lights...

and from a distance you cant even tell its there

thats an awesome setup huggiebear,

do I have to mount the podfilter onto anything? does the top of the box manage to shield it from most of the heat?

looks good.

well i havnt got it mounted to anything as the angle holds it there pretty good and you cant remove it unless you remove the top of the air box.

im not 100% sure on the heat on normal cars as i have the XR front so i get alot of air from the lights (10mm between nosecone and bulbs) i am going to be doing a new setup soon, going to get a 3 inch mandrel bend and take the pod down through the bottom panel and mount it behind the bumper, i will also add a heat shield to the back of it to help prevent water and mud from flicking onto it from the wheel, will also help flow to the back of the pod... car is currently getting head gasket replaced and LSD installed so when its done ill do some tests

OK so i just installed my pod, huggiebear style, noticed a poofteenth more power, mostly disapointed about the sound though... cant really hear anything.

also i think my pods bigger than usual, as I found it very hard to put it into different positions so Its not fully under the top of the filter box.

will post things tommorow, ill let you guys decide ;)

Dude i think you should start with another airbox and try cutting closer to the pod.
