Go out onto highway ( 100kmh zone ), leave car in 3rd, and accelerate as much as possible without the auto kicking back to lower gear. 50 to 100kmh and back down to 50 ( no brakes ), repeat several times...like 20 or so.

Never sit on the same rpm longer than 2 minutes, you need to constantly change speeds, its a pain in the bum but its got to be done... I never full throttle for 1st 3000 kays but load the engine (use higher gears) easy tho on a manual but on an Auto its a pain....
NO LPG for 1st 2000 kays either!!!!! NEVER EVER EVER use synthetic oil for the first 10,000 kays!!!! 1ST 500 kays - Running in oil then change filter & oil 1500 kays change oil & filter 5000 kays change oil & filter 10000 kays change oil & filter

And i've run in alot. never had an issue with full sythetics after 1000km (both ester based PAO based synth) I don't even use running in oil. I use a particular diesel oil that i know has a very high ZDDP content.
and there are alot of E-gas engines leaving the ford factory and being run on LPG right from the first start up. Full throttle or not it doesn't matter, it about the load you place on the engine full throttle in 4th or or %80 throttle in 5th, the rings are going to see very high load either way. |

Apparently if its a LPG engine they change the hone pattern to suit

Remember hearing about some cars having to do the laps around Bathurst with Ajax in the oil after blowing an engine in practice... I'm talking back in the 60's/70's.... The good old days

Pull out the spark plugs and examine it for signs of burnt oil. should give you some idea where the problem is. plus, have you been giving it the boot full exercise without warming up the eng properly?

Almost forgot, if the engine builder ran it in the first time I doubt it if you can embed the rings afterwards anyway. it's the first ever start, warm up & hard loading up of the rings for the very first time that helps to embed it and create a perfect ever lasting compression seal. it could mean a deference between two standard rebuilt engines, one being babied and ended up with 105rwkw & one that's been load to the max for the first time and end up with 115rwkw.
any embedding attempts after so many k's is futile I reckon...

Bed the cam in and build up oil pressure until lifter noise stops then drive it like you stole it (sorta). Avoid constant engine speeds.
