just wondering what the causes of breaking chain tensionsers are, might have block on way

Crank Assembly balanced, HV oil pump, ACL Trimetal bearings, "1 extra oil clearance taking to around 0.0650-0.0700 on mains and big ends, Moly rings,, Xr6 Cam, POD ( Possibly oversize injectors), Block, Head, Timing cover, belt idler, Alternator,painted in ford light blue

i assume you mean the chain guides???
here are a few things that can happen..
the most common would be age.. things like incorrect cam chain tension after cam change, guides can brake if not carefull when removing head and also trying to rotate engine without cam sprocket fitted..

the tensioner itself will usually only stuff up if it clogs up with crap..
and if someone has done a bodgy and forced the tensioner tight after head or cam change..

ive been talking to a guy on here who has a block i can use , bu8t he says it kept chewing tensioners out , might have been guides
