Hey guys, its been a while scince i was on been doing a bit of scrounging around as to what i could do to the old EB II to bring her back to life.
Came up with: Rebuilt EL motor and trans. (just higer comp pistons, shaven head and a cam for the extras on the motor, for the trans rebuild and service and stage two shifter and 3:45 lsd.) Fix the front up and repair any damage that they come across and re-spray stark white. New shocks, springs, bushes etc. as well as some new stoppers. Then its on to new carpet and have the seats redone. I was thinking about the engine and trans off an el and have a few quiries, Would i need an EL comp to run both trans and motor or would i be better off rebiulding the eb trans? I know this has probably been covered about a million times but if you could lend some insight to this matter it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again guys -Nick

Yeah use the EL trans. It is 4 speed. But will need EL comp for both.

if your EB is already a 4.0lt MPFI and 4spd auto (im assuming it would be) the EL motor and trans will be plug and play

But my EBII has a seprate trans controler so wouldnt that cause problems with the trans or would it be like the eb trans is at the moment?
