Will a stand alone oil system for the turbo be better for it? Can I run that off an electric pump and thru a cooler?

Use a billet cam, say Crow Cams. Get a whole package, so as to get anti-pump up lifters, valve springs, cam, timing chain set, H.D. pushrods, roller rockers...etc... Are you going carby or EFI????

Wanting to go efi, at first. Then switch over to straight LPG.

Your playing with 2 different fuels, 2 different characteristics. LPG has a higher RON rating than PULP. I'd stay with petrol. LPG is hard on the top end lube side of things.
With EFI, you can have an ECU that is programmable, make changes better. I couldn't see why you couldn't use a system off a 4.0L OHC I6.

Well I've been convinced that putting a EL I6 into a cortina/capri is too much of a hassle, by a good mate of mine. I quite liked the idea as I can get my hands on a engine/box combo for $600 complete with wiring/accessories/etc.
I know its a tight fit and a bit of a p*ss around fabricating mounts, etc but I know I would more satisified with the end result.
